This beautiful antique Victorian Bohemian Garnet Gold locket brooch is Circa 1880.
The fabulous locket is adorned with clusters of deep red Bohemian Garnet’s set in a beautifully designed Victorian Garnet Gold gallery.
Bohemian Garnets are a small deep red gemstone that became fashionable in the late 19th century. Garnet’s are said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.
The piece is complete with a glass window locket on the reverse as well as a pin so that the piece can be worn as a brooch.
The fabulous bale is also decorated in Bohemian Garnet’s and fitted to a hinge so that it can be tucked away when worn as a brooch.
This is a stunning, versatile piece that would look beautiful displayed upon a Gold chain or pinned to a lapel.
